Well I think you have done really well with the acrylics.
As for oils I'm sure you'll do well.

Have you got Danilo Cartacci's book?
Take a look at how he applies the oils and give it a go.

Hi Guys ,
Well I have done a little more , buttons all done together with the pilots badge , all in NMM , quite pleased with the results .
Started the flesh now , acrylics with water based oils ...its a start Malc !!!!

Stop press: I am looking at a 1/48th kit of Goerths ppppp...can I say it ..pppp......plane ..dashed it I said it !!!

All comments , thoughts welcome .

Hi guys ,
Well I have finished the face 3 days ago...in oils as well (not my normal choice !) and pleased with the result , put it under a heat source for nearly a day !!! and all looked fine so before going to work I sprayed with dull-cote leaving it to dry fully ..waiting with anticipation to see the final result ...you know whats coming don't you

later and all excited I picked it up and ........ it looked like a 1 year old had gone wild with a white paint pot , all streaked ..cue sound of grown man sobbing immensley

So a quick trip to the darkside under the sink and grabbing the Fairy powerspray (hope Carole doesn't use this for cleaning !!!) cleaned off everything and have now resculpted the hair and eyebrows using greenstuff so its now waiting the primer and off we go again ..now oils or acrylics .mmmmmmm

Its a learning curve eh

Gone through 2 boxes of tissues today , still have oils on the table , working on Spock prior to starting on this one ...great practice ...steady now TT ...
