Here is my latest work. Don Hernandez by Degra Miniatures. Here i tried to emphasize the shadows on the material parts of the miniature, trying to get the look of those historical miniatures you see painted. I'd say it has and has not worked. Area I can see to improve upon would be not missing out blends that need to be smoothed prior to taking pictures lol!

Joking aside there are a few things I have learned from this and will be improving upon the next time I do a similar model. I hope you like him and In the montage I've included a size reference too as the bugger was tiny!

Its painted so far in Acrylic - leather, the shirt, and hair and feathers.... still plenty of work to do. The skin and cloak is oil colour - I really fancied the challenge of the oil skin - boy this is a learning curve! again work to do.
The base is an upside wooden bowl.... and truncated the original base to fir the bust on... Foggy I bottled chopping the figure up.....

Here is my interpretation of firing lines british para c.1970s.I started it years ago and made a new flak vest from milliput and gave him a tash.The street scene has been made from an etch wall facing and the rest made by myself from magic sculpt etc.Ive got to do a few minor bits like painting the discarded drinks can on the pavement and touching up the paint here and there.Sorry for the naff photos but i havent great photo equipment.Thanks for looking.
